Dr. Schenewerk
Dr. Audrey Schenewerk has a passion for helping her patients identify and address the root cause of their symptoms and optimize their health. She has extensive experience diagnosing and treating a variety of issues. A licensed naturopathic doctor, she received her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University, an accredited four-year naturopathic medical school. She completed an accredited two-year primary care residency where she worked with top doctors in naturopathic and functional medicine as well as numerous other medical specialties.
As a practitioner, Dr. Schenewerk is dedicated to advancing the field of naturopathic medicine. She founded and directed the first accredited naturopathic medicine residency in Kansas. She is also active in numerous professional organizations, including serving as an executive board member for several state and national associations. Additionally, Dr. Schenewerk has organized and participated in multiple legislative initiatives to increase patients’ access to safe and effective naturopathic medicine across the country.
Prior to starting medical school, Dr. Schenewerk received a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry and a Master of Science in biochemistry. As a graduate student, she devoted her time to research and teaching. After graduate school, Dr. Schenewerk went on to work in the in vitro diagnostic test industry. Her love of scientific exploration ultimately led Dr. Schenewerk to naturopathic medical school.

Dr. Schenewerk has had a lifelong interest in optimizing health. As a competitive athlete, she appreciated from an early age that lifestyle factors like sleep, nutrition, and exercise can have a profound impact on how we feel. Additionally, her mom encouraged curiosity, which led her to pursue a career in research. Based on her own experience and lifelong learning, Dr. Schenewerk is passionate about helping others discover how they can improve their health and well-being. Dr. Schenewerk lives in Minnesota, where she enjoys hiking and long walks, whole-foods cooking with friends and family, and reading historical fiction by the fire.
